STAY PRESENT AND FOCUSED IN YOUR OWN LIFE

Our third and last leg of mastering focus and being is in the form of focusing on your own life to find the answers to your blueprint.

So many times we stay in limbo longer than needed because we compare ourselves to others or stray from our path because of what we see someone else doing. Worry, anxiety, comparison or stress can result. Just pulling back from all the ‘noise’ of our daily lives can provide clarity.

By focusing on your own life, you can hear your wisdom. It may sound simple, but you can unearth the next step for you, regardless of what is going on around you.

Conventional wisdom says that when we want to accomplish something, we seek the advice of mentors or we follow the patterns of models who have achieved a similar goal already; it also suggests we become keen observers of how to accomplish what we want for ourselves.

I have noticed however, that sometimes, we can ‘accidentally’ overload ourselves with so much information that we have a hard time processing what is applicable and true to our own situation.

So many people are driven to distraction by looking over the fence to see what their neighbours are doing. Accepting the pace of your life and taking care of it responsibly, as we discussed in Part Two, will really make a difference in the long term, enabling you to get back to yourself and what you truly desire. This is what staying present in your own life means.

Part of ‘Your Being’ and harnessing the resources of spirit includes this discipline of measuring yourself only in terms of your own life. When you spread your attention outward, gathering impressions of how life should be, you rob yourself of the wisdom your own life provides.

Learn from others, however you must keep your own centre as you layer that learning into your life. Try not to make the mistake of abandoning your own ship.

Now you’ve begun ‘Your Being’.

This is where you begin to find the true satisfaction and peace that comes with living up to your best life. This is where we move from excavating your life blueprint to living it in harmony.

To begin, you’ll need to become a master at focusing and being.

You can do this by keeping the following in mind:

  • Practice silence
  • Always check your true motives (your intentions)
  • Change the action if you discover a negative motive
  • Stay present and focused in your own life

This is a good time to go back to your ‘LYBL QUESTIONS’ – so download the activity and watch the video in the next lesson to truly uncover what it is you truly want.
