February Focus: Strengthening Your Work, Leadership, and Wellbeing
As we step into February, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how we work, lead, and grow.
As well as how we can do so without sacrificing our health or personal life.
February is all about creating a career and business that aligns with your strengths and values, while nurturing the wellbeing that underpins sustainable success.
We will be exploring the following:
1. Aligning Your Career with Your Strengths and Values
When your work reflects what you do best and what truly matters to you, motivation and fulfilment increase naturally. Alignment brings clarity, purpose, and a sense of satisfaction that goes beyond titles or achievements.
2. Wellbeing as a Cornerstone of Effective Leadership
Leadership is most powerful when it comes from a place of wellbeing. Leaders who prioritise their own mental, emotional, and physical health inspire trust, clarity, and resilience in their teams and in themselves.
3. Strategic Habits for Focus, Energy, and Productivity
Small, intentional habits like structured breaks, focused work blocks, mindful transitions, and consistent reflection can elevate both performance and wellbeing. Success doesn’t have to mean burnout.
4. Building a Healthier Work Culture
Whether you lead a team or work independently, the culture around you matters. Encouraging open communication, balance, and respect for boundaries creates an environment where everyone can thrive.
5. Avoiding Burnout While Maintaining High Performance
Sustainable high performance comes from smart pacing, self-awareness, and recovery. Prioritising rest, reflection, and realistic goal-setting ensures long-term energy and impact.
6. Tools to Manage Stress, Decision Fatigue, and Competing Priorities
From practical time-management strategies to mindfulness techniques, there are ways to navigate the daily pressures of work while protecting your wellbeing and making better, more confident decisions.
February is an invitation to strengthen not just your career or business, but the way you show up in it. By prioritising wellbeing alongside performance, you create work that is both successful and sustainable – a career that energises you rather than drains you.
I look forward to guiding you this month with practical strategies to support both your professional success and your personal wellbeing.

Depth, Heart, Intention for humanity is how I see all of humanity as my family.
Hey Best Lifer,
I was asked to reflect the other day, when asked the question, what exactly do you do? And the invitation to summarise it in the least amount of words as possible.
That’s simple…
I build people and businesses.
And when I elevate that to the highest possible chunk, I can see why I have gone through life with this passion and purpose.
I’m yet to meet a business owner that didn’t go into business because they had a dream, a goal, or a vision of some kind that was meant to make this world a better place in some way.
It becomes more obvious to me even after 20 years in business (this year) that businesses and best life living go hand in hand, when done well and when done right.
With that said, in the pursuit of our careers and building our businesses, it’s easy to measure success by achievements, targets, or recognition. But I’ve learned over the years that the true foundation of sustainable success is wellbeing – how we feel as we work, lead, and grow.
Wellbeing is not a luxury or a “nice-to-have.” It’s the source of clarity, resilience, and creativity that allows us to make better decisions, connect more deeply, and enjoy the journey, not just the milestones. When we prioritise our mental, emotional, and physical health, we don’t just survive the challenges – we thrive through them.
We get to see them as the gift, instead of the struggle.
This is an invitation to pause and ask yourself: How am I showing up for myself in my work today? What small choices can I make that protect my energy, nurture my focus, and honour my values?
Even the smallest intentional steps – taking a mindful pause, setting a boundary, moving your body, or reconnecting with what truly matters – can create powerful shifts over time. When wellbeing leads the way, your career and business grow in a way that is not only successful but deeply fulfilling.
Remember, sustainable success is built from within. Take care of yourself, and everything else follows.

Lifestyle Tips for Wellbeing in Career and Business
1. Protect Your Energy (It’s Not Unlimited)
Your energy is your most precious asset – far more valuable than your time. How you sleep, move, eat, and pause through the day directly shapes how you think, feel, and lead. Sometimes it’s not about doing more, but about stopping long enough to reset. A walk, a stretch, a few deep breaths… these small moments restore far more than we realise.
2. Create Boundaries That Support You
Wellbeing thrives when work doesn’t spill into every corner of life. Clear start and finish times, intentional downtime, and the courage to unplug are not indulgences – they’re essential. Boundaries don’t hold you back; they protect your energy so you can show up with clarity, presence, and purpose.
3. Let Your Work Reflect What Truly Matters
When your work is aligned with your values, everything feels lighter. Decisions become clearer, motivation more natural, and resilience stronger. Take time to reconnect with what matters most to you – and allow that to shape how you work, lead, and grow.
