We’ve all heard of successful people in business who seem to have it all, but are completely unfulfilled. It’s a clear indication that money can’t buy happiness.

Many people spend their lives striving for external success, believing that achieving certain goals will make them happy.

Buying themselves a flash car, wearing designer clothes and expensive jewellery, becoming a millionaire.

And while this stuff might seem nice, this approach is flawed because happiness isn’t a response to what happens or what we get in our lives. Instead, it’s a choice that we make every day. The dopamine hit we get from the material possessions usually only lasts a brief moment before we start seeking again. 

None of it really matters if you don’t feel fulfilled on the inside too.

No-one is ever going to be laying on their death bed feeling glad they spent all of their waking hours working in order to drive a Lamborghini instead of spending time doing things that actually brought them REAL joy based on love, connection, contribution and growth. 

To create a life that truly feels good on the inside, it’s important to start with self-awareness. 

You need to understand what truly makes you happy, what your values are, and what your purpose is in life. Take some time to reflect on your life and identify what’s important to you.

Next, focus on building meaningful relationships with people who bring out the best in you. 

Surround yourself with positive, supportive people who will encourage you to be your best self. 

Spend time with your family, play with your children, catch up with your tribes and create memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Cultivate gratitude and practice mindfulness to stay present in the moment and appreciate the good things in your life.

Another important aspect of creating a life that feels good on the inside is taking care of your physical and mental health. Move regularly, eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, and practice self-care. When you take care of your body and mind, you’ll have more energy and feel more positive overall.

And lastly, pursue activities and hobbies that bring you joy and fulfilment. It could be anything from reading and writing to painting or playing sports. Whatever it is, make time for it in your life and prioritise it as much as you would any other important task.

Creating a life that feels good on the inside requires a focus on self-awareness, building meaningful relationships, taking care of your physical and mental health, and pursuing activities that bring you joy and fulfilment.

Remember that happiness is a choice that you make every day, and it’s up to you to create the life you want. By prioritising these aspects of your life, you’ll be on your way to creating a life that not only looks good on the outside, but also feels good on the inside.
